Andrew Billington has over twenty years’ experience of work within the voluntary and statutory sectors. He has worked in and with local authorities, health and social care agencies, and a wide range of voluntary organisations. He has extensive management experience in the NHS and in small and medium-sized charities. Most recently he was Deputy Executive Director of Services Delivery and Development at Terrence Higgins Trust.
Andrew has project managed the set-up of numerous services, including NHS clinical services, a large charity call centre and national volunteer programmes. He has also managed several large national training programmes.
Andrew has an MA (Cambs), an MSc in Applied Social Studies (Oxon) and a Certificate of Qualification in Social Work. He is a qualified group worker and has undertaken extensive training in public sector management.
He has been a trustee of a healthcare charity, and a Lay Inspector for the Crown Prosecution Inspectorate.
